*** THERE IS an OVERCLOCK GOD and SHE LOVES ME!! ***

Thanks to TaiDinh for the suggestion ... because, as it turns out ... you were right, mang!

I fixed it by leaving the Clear CMOS jumper in place with the battery out for at least an HOUR!!

By GAWD man! It worked! You just saved me a gazillion tons of pain and suffering, money, time, bloody knuckles and stability testing for a new motherboard.

<smooch!>

Nothing gay or anything ... so don't get any ideas.

...

Anyway, I went to fry's and bought some crapo patriot DDR2 in order to eliminate my mushkin ram as the problem and I left the jumper on and battery out for the whole time ... probably an hour or so.

When I got back, for sxxxx's and grins, and before testing the new ram, I put everything back together and BOOM! it fired up no problem ...

Man ... I was borrowing money from family members, biting my nails, shopping for new motherboards ... dreading/mourning over having to breakdown my pressure modified infinity cooler ... much less taking my whole rig apart!

And everything is rainbows and blue sky now.

Anyway, thanks again for the tip bro ... everyone reading this thread should +rep him.
