Perhaps the issue is with the games? Maybe you should take up gripe with the publishers and demands a Xbox360 or PC version?
You obviously know nothing of the console world :-) Some games are from Sony Studios. I hardly think they would port em over to the competitors console. Some are die hard exclusives (MGS4 etc etc). Also, how on earth is 3 DVDs more expensive than 1 BluRay disc? Someone, please justify this. They can make a game on 10 DVDs and a BluRay disc is STILL more expensive. Heck i just bought a 100 pack of DVDs for 19.99....yea. And thats the consumer price.

Well I don't understand why you are so upset about Sony (apparently) forcing you to buy a BluRay player when you are being forced (in the same sense) to buy a PS3 in order to play those games.

It just seems silly to me.

You want to play the PS3 games, the BluRay is a feature of the PS3 and thus a cost of getting what you want.

Also if you want to play a PS3 game you will find its on a BDROM anyway so yeah you kind of need a Blu-ray drive lol.

Que? Se habla ingles?

Seriously though what does that even mean? You are upset 3 DVDs cost more than 1 blu ray disc... then go on to say "They can make a game on 10 DVDs and a BluRay disc is still more expensive." Two seemingly contradictory statements.

wow i didnt expect this topic to cause a debate.. simple fact is yes the price is coming down... to me its a better deal then the ps3 both companys are loosing money on the consoles anyway thats how it has always been in this industry however microsoft makes a ton of money off live and the market place and the games.. as for someone saying that the ps3 games just as well as the 360 then they should look at the articles talking about the upcoming football games for both systems and how the ps3 will have to run at around 30fps and the 360 versions will run at 60 providing a smoother game play experience .. so for most of the things in this thread they have been beat to death when will people get over it.. who cares if the ps3 makes you have a blue-ray .. that horse is dead leave it alone.. and exclusive titles that has always been around since nintendo and sega days its not like its something new .. i love how someone is still quoting mgs4 .. as if its not coming to the 360 as well.. but thats a different debate all together.. and as someone pointed out about the "black" 360s their failure rate might be a little less since they did add more glue over the chips to help the problem of the BGA chips from breaking when they heat up and cool down.. but other then that its 99 percent the same as the normal 360 except for the hdmi out put which is pointless unless you have better then perfect vision and a really huge tv.. when they convert over to the 65nm chips is when you will see a better quality product and alot less failure rate

But It's its about making the customer happy. I was furious when my 360 died 2 months after the warranty...but now Microsoft is stepping up and taking blame. Its good to know that the company supports its product and accepts blame, just like when they mailed Xbox uses new power cords.

They're not sure they would win? Or they're sure they wouldn't win?

Is this some sort of joke? The PS3 is largely superior to the 360 hardware wise. Not to mention the graphics are undoubtedly better.

The way i look at it, if i'm gonna pay for a console, i'm not going to go with a core, or a premium, or maybe even an elite. I want everything built in. If i'm paying for a console it sure as hell better have some advantages over my PC. And thats where the PS3 comes in.
Have you seen how much better at folding it is than the 360? Of course not, cause the 360 doesn't fold.
Have you see how much cooler it is than the 360? Of course not, you can't keep a 360 alive long enough to take a temperature reading.

Why don't all of you wait until game makers start slapping large amounts of content onto a BDROM. Then, to get the Xbox360 equivalent, you will be "forced" to buy an HD-DVD and "forced" to play it on inferior media. TES:V? The next GTA? These games are ALREADY in the works, and I guaruntee they will be using these media devices to their fullest potential.

Should I get an Xbox 360 Elite because my Monitor (BenQ 22" Widescreen) has an HDMI Port. Or, should, I get a Premium and just use DVI/D-Sub.

I swear every story about ps3 or xbox360 turns into the same debate.

Thanks for the original post featuring the news. I only skimmed over the rest of these comments, but they seem to be the same old comments about the console war and who's winning. It's tired now.
