Need laptop, Need 24-48 month payment plan, where?

Ok,

Basically there's MDG, and they have this all fun wonderful option for custom laptops, and all these payment way's. Fantastic,

Ok, i've applied for MDG, i've tried calling, they redirected me to someones voicemail... weirdly

Anyhoo,

Is there anyone else, (do not even DARE mention dell...i've tried them, they're evil),

Is there anyone else that sell's laptops, custom or similar, and are "reliable" from your knowledge, in terms of decent variety's of laptops, and where I can pay XX # a month, to pay off over a 24-48 month period (2-4 year) and get it now, somewhat?

Looking for a decent laptop, but not with 8800gtx, lol. I'm looking for these basics...

Core 2 duo (anything with that...)

2gb ram (minor expensive for a laptop I know)

160-320gb drive space,

15-17" lcd (preferably 17")

Video is at least of the 7000 series, nvidia, or x1300-1900 series ati, if possible. Or 8600's? (low end editions).

Mouse keyboard, speakers, not required, have various.

Sound, integrated is "fine", though i'll enjoy my music on my pc as is (see below specs, sound is insane).

OPPERATING SYSTEM,

XP Home, Pro, or MEdia center edition is prefered... Vista is not for me, never will be, and never shall be.

Laptop should have usb's of course, but included a basic dvd burner, and at least one firewire if possible... If not, no worry.

Wireless is a + (starbuck's ).

I'm expecting the laptop to run from $1,500 - - - $2,500 and to be paid over a 2-4 year term.

Any idea's of where?

What are you using it for? if you're going to use it for college, then I'm sure that you can increase your college loans a bit and use some of that money to pay for your laptop (since it can kinda be seen as a school essential).

As for reliable sources? I've always been pretty happy with my HP. It's been reliable for the most part, going on it's 4th year now. I wouldn't suggest putting the charge on a card and paying it off, as you will pay a lot more than you need to.

I guess if i haven't already answered you question, already, then I need more information:

What's it for?
How long do you need it to last for?
How old are you? (i.e. how quickly can you make $800 ish)

Ok,

I am not in college / university, though considering a few years from now over time.

Currently in a job where i'm looking for more "affordable" work. (getting paid what I consider a minimum, and not being able to go anywhere but stay where i'm at..with.).

I'm 23, and I need a laptop that will last me a good 2-3 years probably.

P.S. My gateway i've had since october 2003... Look @ it now, that's how long? And it still kick's (ish...hehe)

Well, like i said, HP has worked wonders for me. There is a financing option on newegg.com (talk to a rep when you're checking out) and I'm sure that any instore place has it as well (best buy, circuit city, frys, what ever else you have up north ). You will probably have to sign up for a credit card, but after that as long as you pay everything back you should have enough time to pay it off.

I'm selling an Asus W3V that I've used for work. Its a beaut! Only reason for selling is my works forking out the dough for a Dell with a Dual Core. I need different cores for Matlab applications.

PM me for info if you're interested. I'll send you the link.

The downside for the asus idea (though great), is I need a monthly plan arranged, and for newegg, another downside, it's US only, unless they miraculously started selling to canada now...

Tried calling Futureshop, Best buy, and they need a $100 up front, then a 24 month payment plan is there, while London Drug's can do it without the upfront plan.

I'll be looking into what they have available, and i'll check into other local places, though suggestions for online ordering would be much appreciated to!
