what if you open CCC, go to Displays Manager, and open the Desktop Area dropdown menu? i don't have a 1080 monitor, so i don't know. just guessing.

when you're in the Displays Manager, click on your monitor and look on the bottom part of the screen. it will say Selected Display on... that's where it has your desktop area, color quality, refresh rate, and rotation. at least that's the way it is on my 7.6 XP driver.

there is also Display Options and Monitor Properties in CCC. i would imagine it's somewhere in there.

EDIT: i assume you're using a DVI cable?
