(I forget where, but I heard that the President of Sony Europe mentioned a 120Gb version of the PS3 sometime in 2008).
I am unsure whether or not Sony will bump the price back up when the 80Gb units go on sale or if they'll keep the price @ $500.
I heard that too, but lets face it, only people like us think ooohh 60gb more capacity, now its worth the dough.
In my opinion, the current gen of consoles (excluding the wii) are too mature, aimed at mature audiences, with mature games and take some of the emphasis off fun.
The people who would appreciate the new capacity already have ps3's, while the giant market of kids and people who just want to play games who bought a ps2 2-3 years ago head straight to the wii because its fun
Thats why i believe that neither the ps3 or 360 will ever be as big as the ps2 was, because the wii has grabbed the largest market.
