Most simple way to do this?

Thread Starter
I have a "collection" of shows that I want to burn to a DVD to play on my DVD player.

6 folders, one for each season. Each episode is in said folder, and it just needs to be burned.

The files are all .avi files.

Problems:
  • I'm on a P3 with no sound card, or else I would just watch them on my computer.
  • The P3 is slow. Lightweight programs would be nice.
  • I don't want to download 50 programs if there is a way to do it with one or two.
  • I'd like to not use Nero; it doesn't like this computer too much. (So slow.)

I want to be able to stick the DVD into my DVD player, and it either give me a list of Seasons/Episodes to watch, or at least play in order, and I can just press "Next Chapter" or whatever to skip to the next episode.

BTW -- forgot to add - if possible, I'd like for it to be free. I can stick up a bit of cash, but I'd rather do it freely, if possible.

Depending if your DVD player is multi region you can use DeepBurner Free and use "File" mode.

The DVD Will see the AVI and play if its compatible.

I doubt my DVD player is multiregion.

It was cheap. So I got it. It's about a year/two years old, at that.

DVD flick is what you need. Then you just burn it with Nero...it works with almost any codec.

Whoa...***..so according to DVD Flick I can only fit 4 episodes on a 4.7GB disc? :***: They're only about 175MB a piece...

It's Scrubs, not some huge as 2 hour long show. >_>

maybe for now you should just copy them to a disc-- just in case and once thats done then work on getting them on a DVD player playable disc.

and what kind of .avi's are they divx, xvid? if so then youll have to find a program that can convert to mpeg2-- and then author those mpegs to a dvd structure. the only way that i know of to do this is pretty complicated.
