hl2 deathmatch and CSS stuttering

Thread Starter
I played both of these games last night and it was fine but today I tried both and it stutters. My latency is under 60 and my internet is really fast.

My drivers are up to date for my 7600gs. Anyone else have any problems like this or have tips on what I should try. Maybe a setting on my console, idk. thanks

Sounds like your system cant handle the game. Although your system is quite capable. Idk man mybe restart the comp and it will be ok.

well of course I tried restarting and turning the settings down and that didn't work. I ran that video stress test and it actually bumped most settings up from what I had them at. Im thinking it may be a console command because it only happens in multiplayer games through steam. Any other thoughts?

edit: also I wanted to add that I have had these games on my computer for months with the same setup without problems
