The total comes to about $540 including shipping. Also there is $70 in Mail In Rebates, so I'm actually spending about $470.

Get a better quality PSU.
Get a Turniq Tower HSF for the same price.
Get a cheaper CPU like the X2 3600+ and overclock it.
Once again...

It ain't bad, but it could be better imo. As duckie said, you could swap the overexpensive 5600 with a 3600 and OC it, you could get a better mobo imho (asus M2N4 SLI for ex). I'm not gonna say anything about that PSU, I have no idea what's it capable of.

That mobo can oc? And you both suggest I go wit the 3600... Will that yeild better oc performance than a 5600 in the long run with wc in mind?

Even without WC the 3600, as well as the 5600, are likely to top around 3GHz, maybe a bit higher on water.
The ASUS is based on nF4 SLI, thus an ex-high end chipset. The 570SLI is a crippled 590SLI that has a HTT cap as far as I know. The 570 is not build for OCing, and I would bet the nF4 is better. The ASUS I'm talking about is a proven OCer. There's even a better option, as far as OCing is concerned, based on nF4 SLI: the DFI Infinity M2 SLI.

Cheers!

Look, I didn't say that, nor did I mean it. Your system is good, but I am an overclocker. I was advising you a few changes that would produce identical or better results at lower costs. You'll realize if you look at the mobo specs that the differences aren't that big, what differs is the OCing potential.

The CPU I and duckie were talking about is just as good as the one you picked IF you OC, if not, it's your choice that bests.

And the cooler, it's a bit expensive imo, and for an AMD a BigTyphoon is just as good, and 30$. The one you chose may be just as good, dunno, but why spend more, eh?

You want kick butt for the price..
The RAM you selected is fine and a good choice. $83 after MIR
MB DFI 590 @ $170
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813136014
Brisbane AM2 X2 3600+ or 4000+ the 3600+ would save you $6
The 4000+ Retail for the 10.5x for the extra multiplier and 3 year warrantyu but KEEP the FHS for the warranty. $69
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103774
OCZ 600w PS with "EPS" which is required for the MB. $85 after MIR
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817341010

About $410 at this point with out the FHS...
The HSS must be AM2 compatible!!!
Not to thrilled with the HSF that newegg has to offer!
Some options for a HSF
http://www.svc.com/cl-p0310.html $48 You
Will require lapping
I'll do some more digging for some other stuff/prices

Actually a good cooler on the cheep but it will require lapping $21
