Asrock conroe crossfire e4300 c2d

Hey guys
sorry if this seems rude to register to ask questions but i'm genuinely stuck!
I thought I would have figured it out by now but I dont know whats going on..

This is my first time overclocking and I have been doing some reading trying to figure it all out. At the weekend I ordered some better cooling (arctic freezeer 7p and some case fans) and since then i've been fiddling away trying to up the FSB..
I went into bios and following some examples of the same mobo and cpu I managed to find I attempted to up the frequency. The bios options are fairly limited, but I put the frequency up to 266 to make it 1:1 with the ram (I think this is right?) and the comptuer then wouldn't boot when i saved the bios and exited...
anyways..the highest I could get the fequency and still get it to boot is 220, any higher and it wont start and reverts back to 200.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I would love to get some extra ooompf out of this machine.
Specs:
C2D e4300 1.8ghz 2mb cache 800FSB
ASRock ConroeXfire-eSATA2
2 x 1gb Kingston DDR2 667MHz/PC2-5300 CL5 Non Ecc 1.8V
Arctic Power 500W PSU With PCI-E, SATA, 20+4, ATX12V, 8pin +12V Connectors
Sapphire ATI X1950XT 256MB GDDR3 VIVO dual DVI PCI-E Graphics Card
Western Digital WD2500KS 250GB 7200RPM SATAII/300 16MB Cache Hard Drive

Thanks for your time,
Nick

if you could, up the vcore. seems like not enough juice to bootup.

I looked through the BIOS screens of your motherboard and it doesn't look there is any vcore adjustments.....

Only other option would be a BSEL mod, but unless you are confident in your abilities I wouldn't try it.

You need to go into your voltages and adjust the core voltage, you also need to lock the PCI at 100mhz.

33Mhz.

It's an Asrock board so I doubt he has any voltage adjustments other than, High/Low/Auto.

No, no. Change PCI-E Frequency to 100MHz, not regular PCI.

Vcore = CPU Voltage. Look for something like "CPU Voltage Control. See if you can find that.

yeah I looked around
http://www.vr-zone.com/index.php?i=3779&s=5
thats what I found, there is no Vcore settings
If you go a page back you will see bios options he has taken pictures of
I dont have any soldering equipment here so I will have to buy all the stuff
unless you guys can recommend a way around it to get the frequency to 266 without soldering anything just yet?

Not gonna happen 266x9 puts you at 2394mhz, you will need more Vcore.

that sucks if u dont have the option for vcore adjustment. i would suggest u sell that one on ebay and purchase one that has adequet mobo adjustments. ~$75 and up.

u should trade me ur vid card for my mobo
