Now out of these cards which is the most powerful or most bang for the buck

8500GT

7600 GT

7600 gs 512mb

The 512mb has a smaller cooler that doesn't cover the ram but the mem is 512 and the price is the same for the 7600gs and the 7600gt after rebate. So what's better to buy? Does the 512mb make much a diffrence

And how will an 8500gt compare to both of them. I can not spend more than $100 on a GPU.

How bout some mobo suggestions guys
he never asked to compare 7600gt with 8600gt. the three cards were VERY CLEARLY 8500gt, 7600gs and 7600gt. so dont bash me or the one who responded after me

What he said

I think i would get the 7900gs

Here is the story of how i will get the money

Ok my buddy has a computer Pentium D 1gb ram and Nvidea 5200

The only game he plays is homeworld to which was made in the 40's and doesn't need that kind of computer. I said to him For $350 i will give you my main components to add to your rig and to make another one.

I give him My motherboard my video card a 580w PSU 2gb Ram CPU cooler stock Intel i still have and my cpu

He will put my x850 in his rig and put his 5200 in the mobo i have now and put his 5200 in my intel motherboard.

What do you think of that? Is that a good deal.

Im not sure what you said, but it sounds like hes payin you so he can downgrade from a PD to a P4. Good deal Do you get the money and the spare parts? Have you thought about going with an AMD system? With a low budget like yours you could save a bunch of money with an AMD proc and mobo. Then you could put that toward your vid card, RAM, etc... . You wont take any performance loss because your talking about an e4300 or a PD both of which can be out performed by AMD for much cheaper.

No the P4 will stay in it's motherboard but the all that is changing is the video card. That's what i wrote up there He is just taking the X850 and changing it for a FX5000.

I don't want to rip him off
