Dual boot Vista 32 with Vista 64

Thread Starter
Would a dual boot with vista 32 and vista 64 work?
sure. just install the to different partitions/HDDs.
but... why?

vista X64 can run 32 bit apps
I'm running Vista x64, and there are a lot of weird issues with it. Plus a bunch of 32-bit apps won't work on x64 without compromising security, because Vista x64 requires digitally signed drivers. It wouldn't let me run Core Temp or Rivatuner until I disabled requiring digitally signed drivers.

I don't understand. What security in x64 that x86 doesn't have? I run Rivatuner fine in vista x64 which is installed in Program Files (x86) folder.

It's called driver signing enforcement (Kernel mode code signing), present in windows server 2008 x64 and Vista x64. I had to go through a little bit of trouble before getting rid of it. It works like in XP, when the OS asks you to confirm installation of unsigned drivers, except it won't take yes for an answer.
You must have a signed version of Rivatuner, whereas the other guy's wasn't.

I am dual booting 32bit and 64bit and was wondering how do I change the name of each partition because atm they r both called Windows Vista which makes it a little confusing when choosing which vista to go on.

Edit the C:\\boot.ini file.

It's there. You'll have to show protected operating system files, then you can just open it in Notepad.
