What settings are you trying to change? The XP chips do not allow you to change the multiplier. Try upping the FSB a bit at a time and check for stability with Prime95.

Not all XPs were locked. The mobiles (duh!) are unlocked, and all the earlier XPs were unlocked.

There's always bridge mods if you want to unlock stuff. All you need is a pencil and you can unlock it.

@noodles- don't run a divider, don't know if your are or not, but don't.

Also, turn the multi down to 12 or less and then up the FSB.

I just overclocked my Athlon barton core 2800+ to 2.25 gigahertz reliably. It runs at 2.08 normally. I still could probably get a little more but I havent tried yet. I set my fsb to 180 and mutiplier is still at 12.5. I upped the voltage to 1.75 and i have run back to back benchmarks and its running stable. I would suggest to up the FSB in increments and up the voltage to make things more stable as needed.

I also unlocked my geforce 6800 vertex pipeline and overclocked it to 365 mhz core and 750 mhz memory. I had artifacts unlocking the pixel pipeline. So far i have been able to gain 5fps in every game. I can play NWN2 on medium settings and Half life 2 is running over 30fps at the highest settings which i wasnt able to do before.
