Thread Starter
i want to upgrade to a complete new system but current cash situations aren't allowing that. my goal is to get an OC up to at least 3700+ speeds. would you say my ram is whats holding me back of doing so? i can get bout 2.4ghz right now. what speed do i need to aim for to achieve an equivlant amd 3700+ processor with my amd 3000+?

if its my ram holding me back im thinking of getting this pair

is it even worth it for me to try to oc some more or should i just start saving for a new amd x2 or core 2 duo system?

Personnaly if you can save for a better setup. Its just that my system is like five months old, so I upgraded to a opty and Im getting that ram. Deff not worth the money compared to a am2 or c2d rig, but Im contempt in running my system out. In short I reccomend you save for the upgrade.

vwgti is probably right. It just wouldn't make since for you to keep putting in money towards that system where as the money could be going towards a new system. I guess you could just try to overclock more and see if you can get it any higher.
