cell phones and monitors, bad?

for the sake of being a lazy arse, i always have my cell phone next to my monitor. whenever i get a call or a text message, the screen goes fuzzy and stuff. is this bad for it? it hasnt done anything yet, but just curious.

Think its just interference shouldnt hurt anything but in case maybe keep phone away further from it.

It means the monitor and/or the cable isn't properly magneticly shielded.

I'm guessing it's CRT? Whenever I get a call, my speakers get interference. Should be fine but wouldn't hurt to move it to the other side of the desk.

You are on the right track...means it's not properly shielded against EMI and RFI....which in the case of the cell phone would be the high frequency waves, so RFI...

Does the same thing on my monitor, however...dunno if i should worry about it or not, lol
