Anyone know stuff about MIDI?

I have a game port to MIDI cable running from a secondary sound card to a MIDI keyboard. The problem is, I cannot get the MIDI to show up in "MIDI Devices" in any programs (FL Studio, Cubase). Normally, a game port should automagically show up in those types of lists because they are commonly used as MIDI interfaces, but it wont show. I've confirmed no game ports are conflicting with it and the secondary sound card works properly in Windows Device Manager. This has stumped me for two days now, which is way too long for a simple MIDI setup.

I had a problem like that.. for the life of me, my midi keyboard wouldn't show up.

The second I plug it into my friend's CPU, it worked instantly... Plug it back into mine.. doesn't show up.

I'd guess chipset difference? But that was just for my case..

I have a Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Plat. Pro on a different computer and the game port from that shows up in the spots where the game port on this computer does not. I bet that if I plugged my keyboard into that other computer then it would work, but the whole point of me getting this secondary card is so I can have a MIDI controller working on this computer. I just have to figure out why the game port on this one is not showing up in MIDI Devices when the game port on my other computer is.
