8800: XFX GTS or GTX for 1680x1050 Gaming Resolution

Thread Starter
I thought I'd ask before buying my new GPU..

I know theres a lot of experienced people out there
so I'm sure you guys can help me out.

I'm gonna be buying a GFX Card and will be playing
at 1680 x 1050 on a 22". I heard that anywhere from
this res and up is for the GTX...

I'm just wondering which one out of the two listed
should I get considering I have enough power behind
me to support either one and the gaming resolution
I will be using..

They are similarly priced. I can't afford much else
so it's going to have to be one or the other listed.

One other thing.. I will be running the GPU in SLI in
the future. So if you can also consider the potential
of each of them when running side by side.

Which one do I get??

THANKS!

So even being the XFX GeForce 8800 GTS XXX Edition.. the standard 8800 GTX will out perform the GTS?

A longer lasting GPU is important to me so it looks like the GTX so far..

8800GTX > 8800GTS

The GTS will probably serve you fine, but the GTX is obviously a better card...

//edit OH I SEE, your comparing an OC GTS vs a regular GTX... PERFECT, BENCHIES!!!
http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=2945&p=9

gtx IS BETTER THAN OCed GTS but they are somewhat close, closer than I would have imagined
