yeah, it's just that the 1800 series has been discontinued for over a year now, right? if you find a new one, it's probably been sitting on a shelf for a very long time. i wouldn't pay too much for one. (i'm not trying to imply that they go stale - only that it has sat unsold for a long time and shouldn't be at full price anymore).

Have you looked at the 2600xt GDDR4? That's about $150 on newegg too..Also, my x1900gt was $104 on zipzoomfly shipped

X1800XT, or 7950GT. I like the idea of HDR + FSAA, so I'd pick the X1800XT.

I'm pretty sure the x1800xt > x1950pro, but for just about 25-35 bucks more you can get a x1950xt, which is faster than any of the cards you posted. Either get the 7900GS or x1950pro, or if you can find one, an x1800xt. Keep in mind to make sure your power supply can handle these cards, especially Radeons
