I loved Killzone, very realistic shooting, recoil etc.. I loved how dirty and gritty it felt, not like how clean Halo felt. people executed in the streets, treason and betrayal, I loved it. I am probably the only person to watch the intro video every time I booted up the game.

I thought the intro scene looked uglier than the actual ingame footage. Some faces look good and some other look awfully squarish. But it beats Halo 3 on many levels, ESPECIALLY the animation... Halo3 looks very last gen animation wise.

Yes, which is something that Halo 3 lacks, just remember the video for Halo 3 last year? Excellent graphics, probably used computer generated video rather than anything that will show up on the 360.

I doubt it can be a Halo killer, Halo just has to much traction people are going to buy it, but killzone can be a better game.

Show me where Sony has "pushed" this game, or where it is toted by Sony as the "Halo killer". I'll help you out: it's the fans and the press who say this type of thing. 360 fanboys love slapping a big "Sony" sticker on every opinion they hear about. It's sad, really.

Lt.JD is right. I could take a dump into a box, write Halo on it, and sell it with ease.

Killzone has some great write ups from what was shown at the Sushi bar. I think that a video of that should be up later today.

oh, ok, sorry then, its the fans and biased media clutching at straws.

I really couldn't care less whats happening on the ps3, as hinted at in my original post. It just annoys me when people are preaching and arguing AT me, comparing the two. What makes the fanboys have a special bond with the company- guess what, i could just go out now and buy a ps3 if i wanted to, which i would if they proved themselves to me---

why do people feel the need for fanboyism and loyalty? they're both big, ugly moneymaking corporations, don't protect them.

(PS. i did say at the end of my 1st post not to contradict or argue with me, as this is just how i feel, so dont talk down to me )

I only hope the game won't suffer from horrible framerate and inaccurate aiming like the first game did. If those two issues had been solved Killzone 1 could've actually been very enjoyable!

The biggest flaw in the PS3 is the actually the 2x reading speed of the BluRay... Horrible loading times, it's Playstation One all over again...

Here's what I think:

Having never played Killzone 1, and after seeing the trailers for Killzone 2 (which are undeniably awesome), this is one game that I'll definitely buy regardless.

As far as comparing it to Halo....I think it's kinda stupid to. Neither game will "kill" the other. This seems hard to do since theyre obviously on different consoles. Killzone will probably be the Resistance: FOM killer, and that's about it.

I'm also looking forward to Halo 3. The choice is simple - Buy them both

Edit - ^ Load times on the PS3 are not bad at all. If you have one and yours are slow, something is wrong.
