Also, I never new that CPU's supported wireless? Where is my core 2's antennae hookup?

Call how you want to, AMD is getting desperate.

I would love to see Intels counter to this, overclockers.com has something that I think would be a very good idea:

theres 2 things wrong with this "news".
1st all mobile core family processors use the 478 socket
2nd the tl-60 has been out since last year in july or so, and at the time the c2d werent out yet.

gets your facts straight before u start accusing companies of being deceptive.

ps. the article u linked to overclockers is for the 65nm, your amd link is for 90nm.....

The new AMD processors are 60nm, and they are listed as 90nm, so they probably just took an old comparison sheet and updated the numbers at the top with the newer models that they are releasing.

no, but the platforms that the vendors support do.

In some situations, but not in anything memory-intensive, as they don't have the prefetching abilities of the Core 2.

I wish people would stop trying to create news with retarded posts that have little to no meaning... I'm not slamming the original poster here, but the guy at overclockers.com. I would go to Intel's site and try to find something deceptive, but there are 2 reasons why I wouldn't want to do this.

1. I could probably find deceptive wording or specs on ANY company's site, and
2. I have better things to do, and so should you, Mr. Stroligo.

Yes you are correct, I am wrong about the socket size, the only new laptop I have worked on had a P4 in an LGA 775 socket, I assumed Intel had moved on.

However this article looks at the TL-50 - the TL-66, the article is again dated Jun 24 2007

http://search.amd.com/query.html?col...ap=en&tqmhak=0

Also the overclockers site said that they omited the 65 nm samples, and at the end of the article they mentioned that they are only just recently being released.

Why is it that every time someone posts something as "wrong" or "deceptive" they use overclockers.com as the holy grail of absolute truth? They are just as likely to post false numbers as anywhere else on the internet. Here's an idea. Give me those chips to borrow for a while, I'll run the benchmarks myself, and then I'll believe which one is better. Benchmarks are getting frustrating for me. One says the 2900 beats a GTX, next says CF 2900s barely beat 1 Ultra, now all this "deceptive" AMD stuff...

If you'd just come out with the dang product already then we'd know for ourselves!

That article is just retarded.

I mean hell, if AMD decided to make a ultra low power cpu that uses 2watts and ran at 150mhz they expect them to compare it with the QX6600. That's just retarded.
