Diagonal lines scrolling across screen with 6800XT

Thread Starter
Ever since I installed my nvidia 6800XT I've noticed that there are a series of diagonal lines that scroll across the screen continously. They are mostly noticable when the screen is in full screen mode and with a black baground (connecting to servers in counter-strike, during intros to movies). The monitor I am using is a Compaq FS7600 17" CRT. These never appeared with my other video card, but that one burned out. I used an ATI card for 3 years and this is my first nvidia card. Is it something I can fix in my driver properties? It happens with vsync on and at all refresh rates.

Did you uninstall the ATI drivers?
Are you positive that your CRT isn't dying?
What kind of power supply are you running?

Yes I uninstalled my ATI drivers but I've ran Drivercleaner and it always finds **** from ATI that it deletes. I've ran it and then re-started my comp, scanned again and it found the same stuff..

I recently had something like that that killed the monitor. be prepared one day you will go to your protruder and the monitor will not start. just a heads up. I had recently upgraded a video card when this happened.
