I know very little Linux myself.

Give me a few minutes to reboot into Linux and I'll try some things out and get back with better instructions.

Okay

Click on the Applications menu in the upper left of the Vmware "screen". when the menu drops down, click Accessories and when the next menu pops out click on Terminal and the Terminal window will open.

Click inside the terminal window and type following, and it is case sensitive:

cd Desktop

and hit the <enter> key. then type:

cd 1

and hit the <enter> key. You should now be in the folder on your desktop named "1".

Type the following

dir

and hit the <enter> key. Now tell me what the terminal tells you is in the directory

fah5.exe will not execute on a new Ubuntu install like it does with a Suse install unless you first install the 32bit libraries. Suse installs them by default, Ubuntu does not.

Run this command and then try folding. It should only have to be run once, then the 32 bit libraries will be installed.

sudo apt-get install ia32-libs

That is a good thing if it put more files in the folder.

You should try running the program from a terminal session, not from double clicking. That way you can see what kind of message you are getting.
