HD 2900 XT + Age Of Empires II = :( ?

When I try playing AOEII on my HD 2900 XT, I get a "DxDraw failed to initialize" error.

Is this some kind of problem with the HD 2900 XT?

There is a game called Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds which is basically an expansion to the AOEII game. Anyways, when playing multiplayer on any newer computers, we're crashing with a timeout error. I believe this game has a major problem with newer hardware. I've tried just about every combo known to man in regards to cpu, gpu, etc and all crash.

Yeah, I have that game too. It's too bad all these great old games don't work on new cards.
