Any way to find my 3700+ stepping

Thread Starter
Well, I wanted to know if there's anyway to find out the stepping of my Athlon64 3700 without having to take off the HSF (i.e via software).

I purchased this a while back from ebay and I believe it was one of the best for OC'ing.

Nope..only way to know your stepping is to physically take off the HSF..if its one of the best..its probably a KACAE or KAB1E.

Darn, didn't want to take off the HSF. Might just leave it an try overclocking it anyway.

I did check the stepping at the time before I purchased it and I found one or two with the same steppings over 3ghz.

Just not so sure my mobo is up to it though (not wanting to mod it)
