can't boot into safe mode?

howdy everyone...i'm on windows xp mce....

i keep on pressing f8...doesn't matter if i tap it or just hold it...it'll never take me to the boot screen...i'm on a logitech usb keyboard...i figure that might be the problem...

any advice?

I would try a regular keyboard, usually USB devices aren't initialized until windows boots.

Boot normally...Start> Run> msconfig> Boot.INI> Check Safe Boot

Works on my USB keyboard...try F-10, F-12...pretty much any F button try...lol

personally, my motherboard is F-12.
