you can run 2 at once, its called SLI it gives you better performance at higher resolutions

It works.....but unfortunately, my 8800GTS and 8800Ultra give BSOD when SLIed..

If they have a lower performance Motherboard, they may only have one x16 PCiE slot, so they wouldn't be able to, but anyone with 2 8800s and a C2D should have a very good motherboard, or the rest is a waste of money really

as mentioned, of course you can SLI with Intels, but you do need to have a motherboard with an nVidia SLI chipset. Intel does not make SLI-compatible chipsets. so you can get a motherboard with an Intel 775 socket but nForce 680i chipset to run SLI. you can't use just any old mobo.

Have you forgotten about the 650i chipset? And there is only a few % of performance difference between 8x and 16x Sli
