Another quick question before I start ordering and buying everything. Will I need any other cooling components other than the liquid-cooling kit that comes with the Kandalf case? I'm kinda paranoid about that because my Vaio always ran super-hot late in its life.

If you acquire a "Brisbane" core like the X2 4000+ I suggested, it won't be to demanding on the cooling because they don't need a lot of voltage to OC well. Usually the mid 1.4v range is enough to get a stout OC out of them so it's only about a .10 to.15v increase.

hmm, what kind of performance can I get out of the 4000+ OC'ed as compared to the 6000+ stock? I'm reading that the 6000+ is not a very good overclocker; in terms of heat anyway.

the 4000+ will OC well and most likely exceed 3G with out much difficulty. With a reasonable OC it will match or exceed the 6000+.

well, you really like the Brisbane and you know what you're doing, so, I'm convinced. Thanks for replying so quickly. I've never been on a forum where everyone responded almost immediately, especially a forum director

One final question then before I do this then. If I go with the Brisbane core, is 4000+ the best or were you just suggesting that because of price? I think I saw a 5000+ as well with a Brisbane in my processor research
