First Build - Temp Question

Thread Starter
Well, let me start of by saying that this site was invaluable with helping in my first build, all went very smooth, but I think my temps are a little high (folding at 47). I wanted to get some expert help. I attached my speed fan readings at idle. I haven't OC'd anything yet, wanna make sure everything is right before I start screwing around.

AMD 4600 2.4 windsor
Asus m2n-sli
G-Skill 1gb x 2
Evga 7600gt
Seagate 320gb
Zalman CNPS9500 cooling it (This is what I think the problem is, it "wiggles" a little and during the build it moved around a little)

For a case I went with the APEVIA X-CRUISER with a 120mm thermaltake in the rear. 4 case fans + HS overall

So, am I fine or should is there a problem? O, and I know this is a stupid question, but what is with the extra temp 1?

Idle:

That's where I have the thermaltake 120 plugged in at, it is the one with the PCI control knob, I assumed it had something to do with that.

Here are the core temp readings at idle:

I think that's a little too high.
I would only trust up to 55c max load.

AMDs are good to around 72C, and how often are you really at full load? If you are Orthos stable below 65C with your BIOS set to shut down above that then ur fine

I dunno about that.
they say that you will fry an AMD at 74c I believe.
I think going up that high in temperatures is like putting the nouse around your neck and being a few seconds from jumping off the chair
