The G92, which is a mid-ranged 65nm cards thats gonna be between the 8800GTS and 8600GTS, is due sometime in the next few months. The new high-end lineup is gonna be in late November-December. nVidia's new launch schedule is to introduce the new high-end series every december.

There are a few threads in news. Just search G92.

They were suppose to come out this summer but nobody knows anymore.

And they're just overclocked versions of the 8800GTX I heard.. and maybe 65nm.

well...i plan on putting this system all together in the next few weeks.

so if the 9 series are gonna be out nov-dec, then i can't go for the step-up program because there's only a 90 day timeframe you can do that in

so should i just stick with a gtx and hope for the best in the future?

you can't max out flight sim X

i;d say go for it, i still have my step-up till early sep, and i'm pretty sure i'm switching to a GTX
if you buy the better one in the first place you won;t loose any money in the process since you can find better deals. Also, if a 9-series does come in your 90 day time frame, jsut step it up. We already know it will work well for crysis and there won;t be a game too much better looking than that for a while, they've been working on ti for many years, should be fairly well optimized, unlinke most 360 ports.

Well...If you can afford a 8800GTX go for it because it's def worth it atm since it's the fastest card out there next to the Ultra! If you want to go lower to a GTS go for the 320mb since reviews with the latest drivers has shown that it performs just as good as the 640mb version for more then $100 less

But yeah...The 8800GTX is pretty much future proof
