I'm going with the biostar 550 mobo -- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813138026

Brisbane 3600+ -- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103046

I just don't know what memory to get, I want 2x1 gig sticks something that will let me OC to 2.6-2.8 fairly easily.

not to hijack or anything, but arent amd cpus better with tighter timings, as opposed to higher frequencies?
working on it...

I would try the DDR2 800 Crucial Ballistix.

yes they are but with the tighter timings on ram modules you lose bandwidth because you have to go down to pc 6400 to gain those timings(unless your paying $600 for 2 gb) and if you have to overclock the pc 6400 modules you usually have to loosen timings...extra bandwidth accounts for more of a performance boost than tighter timings does in real world apps...but obviously in super pi you need tight timings with amd systems
