LCD Gaming vs Vids

Thread Starter
I would like to know what most people get for gaming between 4/3 and 16/3 sized LCD screens?
Is a widescreen good for gaming too?
and finally, I could get a LCD TV with a few more inches for the same price of a smaller monitor (Just about), which would be neater?

ok cool. But would a LCD TV be clearer and as sharp as a LCD monitor?

Monitors tend to be higher res, so in effect they are "sharper" But Witha LCD TV you get size over res most of the time. WIth most LCD TVs having a 720p naitive res

no... LCD TVs are normally VERY low resolution... unless you get HD LCD TVs...

1080p/i HD = 1920x1080 resolution...

all TVs are bad for gaming because of the slow refresh rate. this is important if you play FPS games. you'll notice ghosting and an overall slow refresh. computer monitors are better.

Ok, so that means as you go up in size with a LCD monitor, you go up in resolution, but TV would just go up in size, thus less sharper? LCD monitor it must be then.. thanks everyone
