vista AND xp

Thread Starter
hey guys i have an ASUS laptop that came standard with windows vista home premium but I also want xp to run on a separate partition for other needs. In the bios it only shows 1 partition (the vista partition) and I was wondering how I could create another partition to put xp on. Will installing XP on my vista partition overwrite my entire vista OS or will it give me the option to boot one or the other?? how can I do this?? thanks a ton!

reformat your hard drive and make a partition half the size and install xp then create a second primary partition and install vista on it

there might be other ways to do it but i think u have to install the oldest operating system frist and some one will probably correct me if im wronge
