GTS score you mean

The 8800gtx owns that ATI card

But the ATI card acts as a good heater...................

ALso the ATI card takes insane amounts of power

Main problem I find with ATI GPUs is that there are no companies like EVGA.

i've purchased several ATi cards from several manufacturers and the only one i ever had a problem with was one that was built by ATi . anyway, their returns department was fantastic. they issued an RMA immediately over the phone with no questions asked.

I tend to agree. If BFG tech or eVGA strated making ATi based products the world of graphics cards would be awesome. actually they'd probably just dominate Diamond, Sapphire, etc. I seem to like HIS but i've never owned a HIS card and you usually pay a premium for thier products, usually...

I've owned ATI proper, Diamond(for like 3 days), Sapphire, and jetway ATI based cards. Jetway was my worst experience and sapphire was probably my best I didn't really deal with any of thier support depts.

No, stock 8800GTX is much faster than stock HD2900XT 1GB

And the MIS 8800GTX on newegg is factory overclocked and it is $10 cheaper after rebate

And 8800GTX doesn't have heat and noise issues like HD2900XT

Lightly OC'd in 3dmark06, I get around 11500 or so.

At max I get 12700. This is with the CPU at 3.2ghz, I'm going to try to get 13k (or higher).

2900XT 1GB = 8800 GTX when both overclocked. Not to mention what will happen after one or two revisions of ATI drivers. The price is almost the same, and when some Zalman or etc. edition comes out the 2900XT will be more than a good choice

2900XT 1GB = 8800 GTX
Do you have any evidence that support your arguments ?

8800GTX outperforms HD2900XT 1GB up to 30% in some cases. I don't think that overclocking will help the HD2900XT...
The "some cases" you refer to are because of drivers trust me, it will be fixed soon. How do you think the 2900XT is better/equal to 8800GTX in most cases and in some falls 30% behind, its simply because of the drivers. Check the ATI forums, many people have posted about this.

I don't know about you guys, but I like appearance, too. How it performs, and how it looks. And I think the 2900XT looks rediculous, like most ATI cards. Go ahead and flame

My 8800 GTX KO looks raw and beefy.
