Looking at Asus 680I and P35

Thread Starter
I have hit a wall with my P5W and am looking at Asus 680I and P35 chipsets though I am not married to Asus. My ram runs at 2.4V and I am hopping either will offer this or more, I cant get my ram over 800MHZ. I do not do any gamming now due to time contraints and use it my stystem as a work / entertainment PC. Does anyone have any suggeestions for a new board or suggestions for mine?

if you dont do gaming you wouldnt need the SLI. P35 OCs much better anyway. not a hard choice IMO.

That was my thoughts but I was not sure, I generaly rip, convert and burn lots of movies which would lend it's self to the P35

P5K, p35 FTW.

..Outta the box, installed Windows...then straight to 400mhz FSB/1000mhz Ram..rock solid stability, great voltage options and this mobo can run the same RAM as my P5B-DLX on tighter timings, with less voltage and still pass 12hr MemTest.

*Check out the thread on 'the cool quad', lots of users are reporting crazy low vcores for stable OC's and very good temps too.
