I have an OEM Nvidia 7500LE and im currently playing the half life 2 demo at max settings including 16x Anis and AA with the hdr enabled. Its running completely smooth with no real drops in framerates. this doesnt seem normal.

Also i have my card OC'd with ati tool at 615/900, maybe thats helping but idk.

What resolution? o_o

Oh and FYI, Half-life 2 is one of, if not the best coded game ever. It's a true example of how inefficient coding (hello F.E.A.R.) makes us think we need better hardware.

HL2 demo does not have HDR, make sure that your card supports the AA/AF you are running at

heh, it has an option for 4xAA for me but my card only goes up to 2xAA
when i select 4xAA it just runs with none.

yup that has to be it. i remember playing at 2x aa a while back and it slowed the game down pretty bad. i guess my card doesnt do 4x aa.

That is correct. It ran on my system ( see below) at almost all high graphics, and a very high framerate. Unlike Sims (god that game sucks) Half-Life 2 is greatly coded to work on even, ummm, undesirable systems.

Yeah, I don't really have documented proof. It's just a lot of friends I know have very low-end systems and can play it on almost max settings / max settings, yet they struggle getting 10 FPS in a game like oblivion (lower settings).
