Yes but if you have a media center or any PC for that matter you can just get a 500$ Blu ray bunner/player and get a HDMI thing for your video card and pay things like that, thats much better than buying a PS3 and just think off all the things you can burn to a 25 (and latter on)50GB dvd,you could put all kinds off stuff not to mention how much longer BLU ray will be around after the PS3 is dead and goin in another 4 years or so.

i love Blu Ray and dont know why ppl go for HD DVD its probs bcz most young gamers have 360's and HD DVD drives for the 360 are cheaper than stand alone players.

I think Blu Ray just came in a little late along with the ps3 but i guess u cud say "Good things come to those who wait"

Blu Ray ftw

Some r*tards just don't learn. It's okay, just go play in a street.

(Media Center PC: $2000, PS3: $500, Functionality: Same if not better on behalf of the PS3)

PS3 and PC drives make a HUGE difference. Remember that the 360 HD DVD drive is considered a standalone player.

i dont think the pc drives or 360 add on should be considered stand alone drives. You need a computer or and 360 to make them work. The ps3 however can be bought plugged in and it will play without other hardware besides of course a tv lol. You need other hardware to use the drives so how are they considered stand alone. Just curious.
