The whole thing with the "multiple rails" done with the op thing is a marketing gimmick at this point. It's really better for a high end system to have a single rail with high amps instead of several fake fails with amp limiters on each one. If one rail is drawing 4 amps and the other is drawing 20amps and the psu can handle say 36 amps then it will still trip the protection and crash on you even though you have a ton of amps left. Switch it off and all that will happen is you will remove this artificial amp limit and it will load balance better. Blame this crap on ATX2.2 and marketing douches.
