Please Help Me Max Out OPTY165

Thread Starter
Sup fellow overclockers. I'm an overclocking newb but my first two attempts have gone well. I was able to push my X2 3800 to 2.5 GHZ with no problem wat so ever could have gone higher in fact. So i decided to buy an OPTY165 and clock it to around the same speeds because it has more cache so it would be a biy faster. I've seem to hit a wall at 280X9 =2520MHZ. My specs and bios settings are as follows.

Asus A8N-E
OPTY 165. I'm an idiot and didnt write down the stepping before installing.
EVGA Geforce 8800 GTS 320MB
2 X 1 GB Corsair PC3200
500 Watt Antec PSU

Multiplier
CPU FSB FREQUENCY-280
PCI-100MHZ
CAS-3
TRAS-8
TRP-3
TRCD-21
TRC-16
TRFC-22
TRWT-2
TREF-16
TWCL-1
HTT-4X

Thanks Fellow Computer Enthuasists

Drop your HTT to 3x, that'll do it.

EDIT: Perhaps a vcore bump too... you didn't list it so I'm not sure though.

Hey, it's a clone of me! I'm gonna be getting the same processor soon so I'll be needing the same advice.

(I also have an 8800gts, 2 gb, and gonna have a 500w)

Yea, over 1000 and the HT is highly unstable for me.
