Problem with Belkin F5D5231-4

Hi guys, i've had this router for about 2 years now and never had a problem with it until now, my problem is:

i have a home network like this (if u can understand this diagram)

Broadband_________Router________Main PC (Win XP, Main)
Modem |
|
PC (Vista Basic)/X360

I was setting up file sharing from my PC's so i can access my XP files from my Vista machine, that works fine, BUT when i came to go on the internet on either machine it wasn't working (it was saying the page couldn't be displayed message)

I look on my router and the connected LED is flashing, which it doesn't as it says permanently lit. When i take the router out of the network, the net is fine. i have reset the router using the button on the router itself, but no joy, has my router gone mash up or am i missing something, no one i know has a router so i cant try theirs either.

Cheers for 2 things
1. that u can understand what i'm on about, and
2. for any help given
