Steam needs to go kill itself.

Thread Starter
I'm constantly having trouble with this horrible software. I don't know if its Windows, Steam, Valve...or all of them. Now I'm seeing why so many people hate these guys...

Steam stops responding whenever the hell it feels like it. I open steam up for a few minutes to download CS:S (new, fresh reformat). And 10% into the download, it stops responding. Ok...great, end task. OOH, that didn't work. Now I gotta actually go into Windows Task Bar manager, hunt for it, and disable it manually. I've had to go through this process multiple times, and several times Windows XP locks up, and had to reboot my computer. Big middle finger to these software guys.

I've defraged my HD, reinstalled steam, ran virus/spy ware scans and to no avail...

Think I'm just gonna go back to console gaming....
