Freakin New Pc!!! - Page 7

I agree with most of everything that's been suggested to you up to this point. Some of your components are simply not worth buying - you are not getting the most for your money.

Lose the 7300's. They won't do what you want them to. Even if you could do SLI, it doesn't work in the fashion of "one Video card per monitor". That's just not how SLI operates. Get this 7900GS KO for 125 bucks. One card will be enough.

Never buy memory at Best Buy. Period. Try this: G.Skill 2GB NQ's - $10 more and A LOT better then what you've listed.

The motherboard you've listed is seriously junk IMO. Try this: Gigabyte DS3 - only $30 More and very reliable. I know you said you didn't plan on overclocking at all, but this is one of the best motherboards for the price out there.

And I gaurantee you will run much cooler temps with this: Freezer 7 Pro, while spending $65 LESS than that sub-par watercooling system.

If you want your computer to look cool, buy some cold cathode lights and/or LED fans instead. Cheap, but flashy and effective. The Aluminus case has a very large side window. Xoxide.com sells a lot of cool stuff BTW.

The case is good, I have that one and love it. The PSU however is okay, a lot of people come down on ULTRA PSU's because they're cheap, but my 700Watt XVS runs beautifully. 500 watts should be enough though.

The CPU is a winner. Anyone will tell you that.

With all these suggestions, you'll have a MUCH better system which will probably cost you LESS.

I really hope you can return those parts and get these or ones others have suggested to you. Trust me, you'll be a lot happier in the long run.

And we are definitely not trying to insult you are be rude... exactly the opposite. We want you to get the most for your buck and not be let down by inferior components. I hope this helps, and good luck.

Newegg shipping is the best and if you order all your parts from them you get it a bit cheaper. I would give 5$ for the customer service newegg gives.

Get the ASROCK VSTA for 80$ from newegg. It'll run fine and supports everything.

If you get a Pentium 4 that uses the 533FSB system but is Socket 775 the motherboard will do the same thing it does if you put in a regular CPU. It'll put it at the CPU stock settings and work...

Hey, I just read the thread, and it seems like while you did pick a bad setup, it would be easier to do for everyone if you could give us an estimate of what you're willing to spend, with shipping included. This way we could find parts that will optimize your build and get you the best computer possible. We know you want the e6600 and the 8600gt. If you could come up with a price that you want the rest of it to total, we could pick the best stuff for you based on that amount. We might just be able to find better ram, a better motherboard, CPU cooler, and a cheap Gfx card so you'll be able to run your 4 monitors.

Am I right in assuming you already have a power supply, operating system, dvd/dvd-rw drives, and a hard drive?

If you want to go to fry's to get your mobo, buy the abit ip35-e, its a p35 chipset board, which will support intel's new processor, penryn, when it comes out. It's 125 dollars.

Is this guy on this "pc" he built? Does it even have the things that Orion stated? I am starting to get the feeling that this dude didn't even physically purchase any of these things to begin with. I just couldn't see someone buying such an extensive amount of hardware before knowing anything about buying actual hardware. I think this is more of a "wish list" if you know what I mean.
