My 9ine Hundred Mod??? 28kbps no no

So I was all about making a full side window for my 900, since the fan did not fit in my system with the coolit eliminator. So I did my cutting, I did my nibbling, I ran my rubber molding.

I ordered a 48" x 48" piece of blue acrylic from US Plastics, for 28 bucks. I was so excited when it got here. I drew out my cut on the paper protective sheet of the acrylic. I cut it out. I marked my fan hole, I cut it out. I drilled my fan mount holes. Weeee...

I go to remove the protective paper, and what the fork??????????????????

The acrylic was not transparent like I had ordered. Noooooooooooooo! But I guess it looks alright?

I know my molding jobs sucks, I am going to redo it. I know there are finger prints, I will redo it. The small stain on my computer desk on the last picture, need the foot of the front of my case, milk my daughter spill (she is 4), I promise it is milk.

I'm not too much of a fan. I would have rather had the old panel with no fan on the side for sure.

Yeah all the dust is from my dremel sander because I had to smooth out the edges of the acrylic.

Yeah I did not know it wasn't transparent until I removed the protective paper. It is easier to cut it with the paper on so I can follow my lines.

Lol! ...

...I have done that also. I have purchased acrylic from the scrap bin without checking what color it is, and had quite a surprise.

You did it right . All measuring and cutting and sanding should be done with the protective paper/film in place or one will end up with badly scratched acrylic.

Perhaps you could consider this your trial run. The next one will be clear and more to your liking.

Yeah... clear would be more satisfying imho... one can see all the goodies inside.
