New Nvidia and AMD offerings aside, there hasn't been much activity in the AMD chipset market lately. However, DigiTimes reports that SiS has plans to introduce two new AMD chipsets in the first quarter of next year.
The upcoming SiS 757 will be aimed at the performance market, while the SiS 772 will be a mainstream offering with DirectX 10-class integrated graphics. Both chipsets will include a brand new SiS 969 south bridge, and they'll have support for HyperTransport 3.0, two IDE channels, and four 300MB/s Serial ATA ports with RAID capabilities. DigiTimes says the SiS 772's integrated graphics will support HDMI audio/video output with HDCP copy protection, too.
