Will This Work??

Thread Starter
say i have a mobo, ABIT IL9 PRO to be exact, which is rated 1066/800 fsb

I also have a spare P4 with a rating of 533 fsb.

Both the Mobo and P4 are LGA775.

If i install the cpu to the mobo will it:

A - mobo downclock and adjust to cpu

B - mobo overclock P4 to 800 fsb

C - not recognize the P4 at all

D - damage the P4

P.S. the box for the mobo says it supports Pentium 4

Most likely downclock. If it the mobo came out before the proc came out, then it may need a bios update. check the abit website for that.
