The Order of the build.

Thread Starter
Hi,
Since this will be my first time building, I wanna make sure I get the order right:

1. Place CPU in the mobo and then place it in the case.
2. Add AS5 and apply heatsink (should this be done while mobo is outside the case? Im going to have a tuniq 120.).
3. Add HDD and DVDrw into the case.
4. Add RAm and GPU (this should be last right?)
5. Connect all the wires from PSU.

So after I have everything connected, and power up...what should I see as a sign that everything is connected fine?? Or what if its not connected right ?

6. Install OS
After installing OS, what kind of tests should I run to make sure my system is doing good? e.g., temperature?

Any comments/advice will be appreciated !

Congrats on your first build i just did mine about 1 week ago it was one of the most fun moments i had in ages, my first build also.

Stuff not to forget/tips

Once OS is installed make sure to do the motherboard drivers>video card drivers>sound card drivers>what ever else is left

Make sure not to rush and clearly lay out all your stuff on the table and have plenty of room. Since it was my first build it took me about 5-6 hours because i made sure everything was extremly neat with the cabeling and all. Check out my build log it has alot of pic and it's VERY VERY detailed so it will help you alot

Also you listed in step 1 you must also instal the ram while outside of the case "the mobo i mean"

Also what are going to be the specs of this rig
