Okay thanks for the info
MY chipset is Appollo VIA K8T800(VT8383)
What else do you need me to find

My ram(s) speed ihas two frequency 133 and 166 Mhz

TYPE DDR
SIZE 512
Memory Timing
Frequency = 179.3
FSB DRAM = cpu/12
CAS#LATENCY 2.5 CLOCKS
RAS#PRECHARGE 3 CLOCKS
CYCLE TIME 7 CLOCKS
BANK CYCLE TIME 10 CLCOKS
COMMAND RATE 2T
DRAM IDLE TIMER 16 CLOCKS

MY CORE SPEED IS NOW 2152.0
THE MULTIPLIER IS X10.0
i AM GUESSING MY HT SPEED IS 21520

THE VOLTAGE FOR THE CPU IS 1.472
SORRY I AM UNABLE TO FIND THE VOLTAGE FOR THE RAM

He said fully adjustable...

Also, chances for you to overclock are pretty low with that chipset. Don't overclock with it or get another motherboard.

So is it impposible or risky?
So should i revert back to the original CPU FSB

I have just gone back to the original CPU FSB
The CPU is now running at 2000mhz
I am now begining to think that this system with this chipset in not clockable
IF i am wrong please lt me know
Thanks

No you're not. Your Opty can trim only down its multi thanks to the C'n'Q, so it's quite impossible to OC your CPU only through the multi, but you already knew that

Good chipset info mate. So it's the K8T800, this is a bad news. They lack the "PCI/AGP lock". What this means, briefly, is that with the increase of the FSB (HTT) all the mobo is being OCed. On other chipsets, the CPU , northbridge and ram are on a different frequency generator, thus upping the FSB means you don't necessarily OC all the mobo - the thing allowing for these to happen is known as PCI/AGP lock. Well, you don't have it.

Since all the mobo gets OCed, there are a lot more variables involved than what's explained in that guide. To put it simple, PCI and PCI attached components don't like anything above 10% OC at the very top. This leaves a max 220FSB for all the non-locked chipset, you are pretty close to it. I would say that you have exhausted the mobo's OCing potential, even though the CPU and the ram could go much further.

It's one opinion, see what the others have to say. For one, I had non-locked chipsets and it worked up to 10%, which was not bad considering the cheapness of the mobos.

Cheers!

If they don't have a way to lock thePCI/AGP/PCI-E then Iwouldn't overclock it at all not worth the possibility of corruption to windows. Get another board if you wanna overclock further.

Thanks for the info guys.
i have just ordered 2Gigs worth of ram and nividia AGP graphics card.
I might as well spend some more money
Can anyone recommend a good mobo that i can attach all my existing hardware too.
Thanks

If you can cancel the order for the AGP card and get a PCIe one, try this: ASUS K8N4-E - it's socket 754 and based on nForce 4, pretty good OCer.

If not, the ASUS K8N-E deluxe - nForce3 250GB.

I've tested them, they have good potential. They have managed to take a A64 Newcastle 2800+ from 1.8GHz to 2.4GHz, but the stock cooling was having a hard time evacuating the heat, I could have gone further imo. Probe for other opinions though, it may som' better.
