New E6600 System, a few ?'s before I OC

Thread Starter
ok..
Just built this new system, getting ready for Quakecon
I opped for the E6600 because I heard you could hit 3.2 on air and this Corsair XMS2-64 RAM because PCStats oced it to 1014 fsb on @ 4-4-4-12 with high stability and 1100 @ 5-5-5-15, I figure with this memory cooler I got here:
OCZ-XTC Cooler I might be able to hit 1:1 @ 1066Mhz Mem clock

I saw various voltages in the speed/voltage thread that is stickied, here is what I'd like to know..

I'm gonna try 3.0 to start out with and increment up from there. What are the optimum Core voltages for 3.0, 3.2, and 3.4 even? and what temp should I be looking at for my ceiling under load for maximum stability and longevity.

Something else I'm not familiar with... I noticed the RAM package said SLI-Ready memory and there is a setting in the BIOS for SLI-Rdy ram.. though I'm only running 1 8800 GTS OC 320 card.. will enabling this setting in the bios hurt/help anything with no SLI GPUs, also, what exactly does this setting do?

SLI ready doesnt mean anything, or so ive heard. AFAIK you're off better not enabling it, but dont quote me on that.

1.40 Vcore is quite safe to start off with. you might want to try 1.35 first though.

dont worry about the SLI ready ram setting , it does nothign

I would start off putting the CPU voltage at 1.45 and then the FSB up to whatever you have to put it at to get 3.0 Ghz (using a multiplier of 9)

That should work , then play with your memory and see what you can get
