Thats because those two programs utilise drivers in order to operate and I'm willing to bet that you last tried useing them on Windows XP x86. You'll need to see if the developers have and updates or versions that supports x64. Failing that, just simply switch to another Anti-Virus and Defragger, there's plenty of freeware ones available if you use Google.

My retail of Vista Premium was only 32 bit, and had the info on how to get 64 bit.
Per Microsoft, only Ultimate comes with 64 bit.

Only retail Ultimate comes with BOTH 64 & 32. All others are either 64bit OR 32bit, not both. This includes both retail and OEM.

hey guys, listen thanks for all the help, just ordered the new pc's, with vista home premium 64bit.

here is the new pc(s) specifications incase anyone is interested:

Core 2 quad Q6600
2gb of ram
abit mobo
250Gb HDD (plus for mine there will be bout 600GB total)
8600GTX

I'm excited, should be here next week, cant wait to not be on this old pc
