Reset CMOS Help PLEASE!!!

Thread Starter
I have a Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 (3.3) motherboard, working on overclocking and i went to far. When i try to reset the cmos by removing the battery for 5 minutes i put it back in and the same, it turns on but the monitor won't find the computer. Plus i get the "Cmos" error two beeps. I keep reading guides about "shorting" the 2 pins, i unplugged it and pressed a screwdriver on them but nothing. I Really need help, can someone give me some way to reset this CMOS!

There should be a jumper on your mobo, look in the manual it's described there. If you dont have it you should be able to dowload it from the manufacturers site.

I've tried EVERYTHING! Taking out the battery, putting something metal on the prongs, why won't this thing reset, the fans and everything come on, but the monitor wont display and it still gives the two startup beeps

All I have to do to reset the bios is turn my computer on and off 5 times and then it'll boot into bios. Try that bro.
i thought all CMOS resets were 3-pin setups. the default is with the jumper on pins 2 and 3. you reset the CMOS by moving the jumper to pins 1 and 2 for 10 seconds. are you sure you're looking in the right place?

Totally new discovery!!!! I took out my Evga 8800gtx card and put in my old Radeon x600 and it worked! IT still gave me the two beep error but my computer came on and im at the bios screen. Can anyone suggest why it might not work with the video card?
