World In Conflict Overclocking Test - Page 2

The GPU kills any, ANY CPU in terms of power. So yeah OC the GPU has a bigger effect but your game won't run faster with an OC.. It'll run slower with a DC though.

Awesome, that really makes me a happy guy. That pretty much validates my Bottleneck thread once again. Sweet. (Because a 2.4 E6600 = 3.0 Opty 165)

Cog, mind doing another one with the the HL2: Lost Coast bench?

EDIT: What did you use to edit the video in there, I have a program that will only overlay the one video over the other rather than run them side by side. I'll run an equivalent test on an X1900XTX and see how that goes as well.

I still think that if you get a pretty good CPU.. Even an X2 4000+ and a GTX you will be running just about everything, almost as good as the guy that got the e6600 in real world situations

Heeeey, wait a second. She's got a thread claiming no boot, yet she's still posting, and you JUUUST so happen to suggest she lie about the cards not working.

Coincidence? I think not.

Wow, that's surprising.. and extremely depressing. If we can't get increased performance, why overclock in the first place?

I really found World in Conflict to have shoddy graphics for how much power it demands anyway. Normally games that require so much are a little prettier.. Then again, I only installed the beta on my laptop which still runs a 6800, so I had to turn some settings down.

Guys i'd like to add that this game runs at 80-120FPS in DX10 mode while actually playing the game.

Absolutely no frame issues.

The benchmark test is just very demanding.
