Will i have finnaly got the cash for the 8800GTS (my sig is old)and whanted to know how you guys thought about how well it will do in my rig.First things first my 4200+ passes a 5000+ in all benches so i dont think there will be a bottleneck (or will there) and my rig runs realy cool with low case temps,So what is the most comman "MAX" OC in a evga 8800GTS 320MB?Any tips to help me avoid any problems would be very helpfull Thanks.

Not really sure what to tell you. Benchmark your current setup, uninstall your old drivers, plug it in, install new drivers, benchmark your computer, overclock the gpu, benchmark it again and play some games.

Your Pc looks not to bad, just okay,Im not sure about the PSU though. You need a PSU with 12V current rating of 26A) Is that what you have?

While I wouldn't recommend trying it, my 8800GTS is running fine on a 400W power supply. If it's 500W, chances are it'll have enough power.

Sweet, I've been reading up a lot on the newest video cards, and the 8800GTS 320 basically the best bang for your buck as of now. Good choice, and the cooler on it should provide pretty good cooling.

8800GTS summary

Look at the bottom of the page for benchies, and make sure it's a 320 version.

My OC for the EVGA 320MB model is 703 core, 1856 memory. I'm yet to do the volt mod but all seems well right now

I love my BFG 8800GTS 320mb. If I had it to do over again probably went with the EVGA, heck of alot cheaper.

IMO if you're upgrading you should get a better card that the GTS.....get the GTX or the 2900XT. You won't be able to run decent eye candy (my speculation) in Crysis or UT2K7, etc.
Surely that 8600GTS can run all of your current games with decent eye candy? With only a single X1950 Pro I can run all of my games maxed with 16X HQ AF, 4X quality adaptive AA and maintain 50-60FPS at 1920*1080.
